Who is eligible?

Eligibility Requirements

If you would like to become a Kauffman Scholar, you must meet all of the following eligibility requirements to apply:

Enter 7th grade in Fall, 2011
Qualify for the Free or Reduced Lunch program
Live within the boundaries of either the KCMO (#33) or KCK (USD #500) school district
Attend a public or charter school located within the boundaries of either the KCMO (#33) or KCK (USD #500) school district
Earn a grade of C or better in all core subjects during the first semester of the 6th grade school year. Core Subjects are: Reading/Language Arts; Math; Science; Social Studies
No more than one Out of School Suspension (OSS) or two In School Suspensions during the first semester of the sixth grade year
Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (to receive scholarship assistance)
