Career Development Series

Career Development Series

The Kauffman Scholars Career Development Series provides scholars and alumni with exposure and readiness related to workplace skills. Students and alumni will have the opportunity to interact with professionals, explore, engage, and eventually immerse themselves in a desired career field.

The KSI Career Development Series consists of:

  1. Shadow Day: Scholars and alumni will have the opportunity to spend the day with a Kansas City-area professionals and learn more about their professional and day-to-day work environment.
  2. Professional Roundtables: Scholars and alumni will connect with Kansas City professionals in a smaller, more intimate setting where students can ask questions and gain insights from a variety of experts, allowing scholars and alumni to practice their networking skills.
  3. Mini-Conference: Through a variety of professional development sessions, scholars and alumni will develop relevant competencies (professionalism, communication, collaboration, etc.) to transition scholars smoothly into the workplace and help advance alumni as current working professionals.

All Career Development Series events are voluntary programs open to all active KSI students and alumni.
